COVID-19 Relief & Awareness Campaign

As the impact of COVID-19 spread across India and a nationwide lockdown was imposed, Bramhi Foundation actively responded to the crisis following the appeal of NITI Aayog.

The Foundation adopted a multi-pronged strategy to support communities affected by the pandemic. In Gonda district, Bramhi Foundation conducted large-scale awareness campaigns to educate people about COVID-19 prevention and safety measures.

The organization carried out mass masking drives, distributed protective materials, and extended support to frontline Corona Warriors in association with Amar Ujala.

Through these efforts, Bramhi Foundation played a significant role in promoting health awareness, community participation, and social responsibility during the pandemic.

Health Initiative

Sehat Sahi, Laabh Kayi

Sehat Sahi, Laabh Kayi is a 27-month community radio-led health initiative implemented by Bramhi Foundation, Radio Awadh, and SMART with support from the Gates Foundation across 20 adopted villages of Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh.

The campaign promotes health-seeking behaviour and raises awareness about Tuberculosis (TB), Kala Azar, and Filaria, encouraging timely testing, treatment adherence, and reduction of social stigma associated with these diseases.

Through both on-air and on-ground engagement, the project drives conversations on preventive healthcare, immunization, nutrition, maternal and child health, family planning, and adolescent well-being.

The initiative also improves awareness and access to government health schemes, helping communities reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses while promoting informed decision-making and healthier lifestyles.

Beyond awareness generation, the project highlights the role of Community Radio as a critical component of the primary healthcare ecosystem by leveraging trust, local knowledge, and deep community engagement to bridge gaps in healthcare communication.
